Montessori Parenting from Birth
We cordially invite you to a workshop focused on Combining Montessori Theory and Practical Information for Parents of Newborns
In this interactive workshop, you will receive an overview of early development and the Montessori educational principles for newborns, ages 0-6 months, including the concepts of Sensitive Periods, Human Tendencies and the Absorbent Mind. We will guide you to observe and understand your baby‘s behaviour and needs, and share practical tips in a variety of areas, from communication and play to clothing and nutrition. In a practical hands-on session in the afternoon, you will create hand-made Montessori materials and have an opportunity to have your questions answered.

Price: 2.500,- CZK/person, 10% off for IMSP parents
Capacity: 5 - 20 people
One-day course led by experienced AMI trained guides includes:
Morning theoretical session 9:30 – 13:00 with a 30 minutes break
Afternoon practical session 14:00 – 17:00 (Lunch organized by IMSP upon a previous order / to be paid in cash on site)
Theoretical information:
• developmental overview during the prenatal period and the first six months of life, focusing particularly on neurological, sensory, language and motor development
• basic tenets of Montessori developmental theory, including the concepts of sensitive periods, absorbent mind and human tendencies and their manifestations in infancy
• critical importance of building the basic trust in environment and in oneself
Practical information on how to:
• prepare the home environment for the baby and their needs
• select appropriate toys, clothing, and other items
• observe your child and understand their behaviour
• approach nutrition, including breastfeeding
• communicate, interact and play with your child in ways that build the parent-child bond and attachment, facilitate the child's development and promote cooperation and independence
