The International Montessori School of Prague, a small, community oriented private Montessori school in Prague 4, is seeking a reliable, responsive and organized individual for the position of an Elementary Assistant (AGES 6- 12 years)
Requirements:
High school diploma required, college degree in a related field (education, social work, psychology, etc.) an advantage
English and Czech fluency: one at C2, other at least at the B2 or C1 level.
Communicative and flexible worker, reliable and self-organized.
Experience with children, ideally in a group setting. Previous teaching experience a significant advantage.
Legally able to live and work in the Czech Republic on the basis of a Zivnostensky list
Able to physically keep up with a group of children, including getting up and down on the floor or lifting 30 pounds
Previous experience with Montessori is welcome but not a must. However, we do require an open and respectful attitude to children and our educational model, as well as a willingness to learn and professionally develop on the job.

Job duties and tasks involve:
Assist in the classroom during the day: supporting the teachers in classroom management, working with children individually and in small groups, encouraging and guiding activity and peer interactions; supporting transitions and non-academic activities; managing classroom tasks (cleaning, organizing, paperwork).
Making/creating customized lessons and activities as guided by the teacher.
Oversee the Elementary classroom After School Program, including planning activities and games, arts and crafts and outside play.
Communicate with parents as needed.
Actively participate in events, activities, field trips, etc. organized by the School
